What a bonus code is
A bonus code is an operator-published string that unlocks a specific welcome offer, contest bonus or promotional reward. The exact value of the offer depends on the operator's published terms. We do not invent bonus values; we walk through what the offer typically pays, what it excludes, and the questions to ask before you opt in.
Who is eligible
Eligibility varies by offer, but the common conditions are:
Age — 18+ in every Indian state that permits skill contests.
State — your state must permit skill-based fantasy contests. See the legal status page.
Account — usually limited to one bonus per new account, per phone, per payment method.
First deposit — most welcome offers require a qualifying first deposit.

The conditions that matter
Every welcome offer has a small set of conditions that decide what it actually pays. Read all five before you opt in.
Condition
What it usually means
Minimum deposit
The smallest deposit that qualifies for the bonus.
Wagering / contest requirement
How many contests you must enter before any bonus winnings become withdrawable.
Maximum bonus
The largest bonus the operator will credit, regardless of deposit size.
Maximum withdrawal from bonus
A cap on how much of the bonus-related winnings you can withdraw.
Expiry
The deadline by which the bonus must be used or it is forfeited.
Excluded contests
Contests that do not count toward the wagering requirement.
Figure 2 — Side-by-side comparison is the only way to read a bonus term sheet honestly. Print it if you need to.
A worked bonus example
Consider a notional welcome offer with the published terms:
Minimum first deposit: ₹100
Bonus percentage: 100% of first deposit, up to ₹1,000
Wagering requirement: enter contests worth 4× the bonus amount before withdrawal
Maximum withdrawal from bonus: ₹5,000
Expiry: 30 days from credit
If you deposit ₹1,000, you receive a ₹1,000 bonus. You must enter contests worth ₹4,000 in entry fees before any bonus-related winnings become withdrawable. Any winnings from those contests beyond the ₹5,000 cap cannot be withdrawn.
This is illustrative — always read the operator's own terms.
A responsible bonus budget
A bonus is not free money. Treat the wagering requirement as part of your entertainment spend.
Set a personal cap on how much you will deposit to chase a bonus.
Track the contests you enter against the wagering requirement.
Withdraw any non-bonus winnings back to your bank account regularly.
Walk away if the bonus stops being enjoyable.
Figure 3 — A bonus only helps if it fits your entertainment budget. Anything beyond that is wasted spend.
The fastest way to compare two welcome offers is to put them on the same set of axes. The desk uses six.
Minimum deposit — the smallest deposit that qualifies for the bonus.
Bonus percentage — how much of your deposit is matched.
Maximum bonus — the largest bonus the operator will credit.
Wagering requirement — how many contests you must enter before the bonus becomes withdrawable.
Maximum withdrawal — the cap on bonus-related winnings you can withdraw.
Expiry — the deadline by which the bonus must be used.
Once two offers are on the same axes, the comparison is mechanical. The offer with the lower wagering requirement, the higher maximum bonus and the longer expiry usually wins on pure economics. But every reader has personal priorities; choose the offer that fits your entertainment budget, not the one with the highest headline number.
Common bonus pitfalls
Three pitfalls deserve a callout. First, the "up to" trap — a 200% bonus "up to ₹10,000" only pays the maximum if you deposit ₹5,000. Depositing more does not increase the bonus. Second, the contest exclusion list — many welcome bonuses exclude certain contests (typically practice contests and some mega contests). Read the exclusion list before you enter contests to meet the wagering requirement. Third, the expiry clock — most welcome bonuses expire within thirty days. If you cannot meet the wagering requirement inside the window, the bonus will be forfeited.
Can you stack a welcome bonus with a referral code?
Most operators allow you to opt into either the welcome bonus or the referral code, not both. The exclusion is operator-specific — read the bonus terms before you opt in. If you can stack, the referral reward is usually credited only after the welcome bonus wagering requirement is met.
Tax treatment of bonus winnings
Bonus winnings are treated like contest winnings for tax purposes in most jurisdictions. Keep records of every bonus credit and every contest entry. If your activity is large or recurring, consult a tax professional familiar with gaming taxation in your jurisdiction.
When not to claim a bonus
Sometimes the right answer is to skip the bonus entirely. If the wagering requirement is too high for your entertainment budget, if the expiry is too short for your schedule, or if the contest exclusions remove the contests you most enjoy, the bonus is not actually a bonus — it is a constraint. Walk away and play with your own money instead.
Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Is the bonus guaranteed?
No. Bonus offers are subject to the operator's published terms. If you cannot verify a current offer, treat it as not available.
Can I withdraw the bonus itself?
Usually no. You can withdraw winnings earned after meeting the wagering requirement, subject to the cap.
What if the operator changes the offer?
Operators can change bonus offers at any time. Always re-read the terms on the day you opt in.
Are bonus offers taxable?
Tax treatment depends on your country and the amount. Keep records of every contest result and bonus credit.
Withdrawing from bonus winnings
Bonus winnings are withdrawable only after the wagering requirement is met. The wagering requirement is usually expressed as a multiple of the bonus amount — for example, a 4x wagering requirement on a ₹1,000 bonus means you must enter contests worth ₹4,000 in entry fees before any bonus-related winnings become withdrawable.
Track your contests against the wagering requirement as you go. Most operators show your progress in the bonus dashboard. Once the requirement is met, the bonus winnings become part of your withdrawable balance.
Bonus abuse and what counts
Bonus abuse includes self-referrals, multi-account abuse, deliberate low-margin play to clear the wagering requirement and exploiting operator errors. Operators detect bonus abuse through device fingerprinting, behavioural analysis and payment-method matching. If detected, both the bonus and any winnings are forfeited, and the account may be closed.
Bonus availability across states
Operators restrict paid contests — and therefore bonuses — in restricted states. If your state restricts paid fantasy contests, you cannot opt into a welcome bonus even if you are otherwise eligible to use the platform.
Welcome bonus vs. loyalty rewards
Welcome bonuses are one-off; loyalty rewards are recurring. Most operators offer a loyalty program that rewards regular play with cashback, free contests or exclusive contests. The loyalty program is usually a separate opt-in from the welcome bonus.
Types of welcome bonuses
Welcome bonuses come in several forms. The most common are deposit-match bonuses, where the operator matches a percentage of your first deposit up to a maximum; free-entry bonuses, where the operator credits your account with free contest entries; and risk-free contests, where the operator refunds your entry fee if your first contest does not perform. Each form has its own trade-offs.
Calculating the real value of a bonus
The real value of a bonus is the expected withdrawal, not the headline number. A 200% bonus "up to ₹10,000" with a 10x wagering requirement and a ₹5,000 maximum withdrawal is worth far less than a 100% bonus "up to ₹5,000" with a 3x wagering requirement and no maximum withdrawal. Always calculate the expected value before you opt in.
Deposit methods and bonus eligibility
Some operators restrict bonus eligibility to specific deposit methods. UPI and net-banking are usually eligible; some e-wallets are not. Read the bonus terms before you make your first deposit to make sure your chosen method is eligible.
When the operator changes the offer
Operators can change the welcome offer at any time. The change is usually published on the operator's promotions page. The desk recommends checking the offer on the day you register, not relying on a screenshot from a few weeks earlier.
